WITNESS TO CENTURIES OF HISTORY, PALAZZO GRADENIGO, WILL BE COMMEMORATED AS “GÜNEŞTEKİN ART REFINERY

Located in the Santa Groce district of Venice, the magnificent building Palazzo Gradenigo, which has witnessed the passing of centuries and captivates every observer with its stunning architecture, was obtained by the master artist Ahmet Güneştekin. From now on, Palazzo Gradenigo, which is one of the main exhibition spaces where the Venice Biennale also takes place, will contribute to the art world as “Güneştekin Art Refinery.”

Artist Güneştekin, who has made a memorable place in the art world with his recent exhibitions ‘Memory Chamber, ‘Infidel Quarter’, ‘Alphabet of the Seven Seers’, and ‘The Universe of Myths’, has embarked on yet another exciting artistic venture. Güneştekin has obtained one of Venice’s historical landmarks, Palazzo Gradenigo, where in the palace gardens grand celebrations have been held for centuries and Archduke Frederick of Austria resided in the 19th century.

Being one of the most important buildings of the city, this magnificently architected building, which has always been a focal point with its canals, narrow streets, hidden gardens, architecture, and history, and has endured centuries, will be commemorated as “Güneştekin Art Refinery.” Regarding this development, Güneştekin remarked, “I am already so excited for the work we will be doing at Palazzo Gradenigo, one of the most historical and iconic buildings in Venice. I believe that this historical and elegant venue will broaden our art world. It is a wonderful step towards making our voice heard through art on behalf of Turkey and providing exhibition and promotional opportunities for young artists that the Güneştekin Foundation supports.”

Palazzo Gradenigo, which leaves every witness in awe with its captivating architecture, is situated in the Santa Groce district. The Palazzo, a structure with tall glass windows built in an aristocratic style, is located in the same district as some other architectural, artistic, and touristic landmarks such as the Venetian Arsenal, the Church of Saints John and Paul, the Church of San Zaccaria, the Castello Gardens, and the Venice Biennale. Grand halls on each floor of the six-story building Palazzo, carry quintessential features of Venetian architecture, with remarkable frescos produced by 18th-century artists.
