The book accompanies The Alphabet of Memory, which conceived around the concepts of memory, space and time. The publication opens with an introductory text by Anar Alakbarov, the director of the Heydar Aliyev Center, followed by an introductory overview by the exhibition’s curator Emin Mammadov. The book features an expanded version of Ulrich Ptak’s previously published essay about the characteristics of the artist’s production of form, as well as his four short texts on the works in the exhibition. Designed by Timuçin Unan + Crew, the exhibition book offers a selection of the artist’s newly produced works for this exhibition and his previous works. Through extensive use of detail images from the artworks, the book provides a closer look at the artist’s practice.
