Christoph TannertColours, forms and stories from various cultural circles overlap. From the depths of his memory, the artist incessantly draws new treasures. The mythic past interwoven in an abstract, glowing, exemplary constellation is Güneştekin’s hallmark. He shows no inclination to address clear contents to the audience. Instead, he seems to be interested in preserving his presence what is left unsaid. The basis for this is his special pictorial-artistic statement, with which he conveys the peculiarities as well as myths and modernity of his culture. In a world of increasing loss of value, this artist brings a new value to the spiritual. For him, mysticism has an existential significance. The importance of his position is to focus his image-based world understanding on the limited spaces of the transition, but with the awareness that they are in a global context.
